HOW TO APPLY
DEADLINE FOR NEW STUDENT APPLICATION IS MAY 1

Transient Admission for Summer in the City
Students enrolled in transferable degree programs at other accredited colleges or universities (in the United States) but wishing to register at Georgia State to complete work to transfer back to their home institutions are transient applicants. Transient students may attend for only one fall or one spring semester. However, summer attendance is unlimited.
Use Your Pell Grant
You may qualify to use your Pell Grant over the summer. If you were enrolled as a full-time student in the fall or spring and register for at least six credit hours for the summer, you may be able to use your Pell Grant to cover your summer tuition. Contact the Financial Aid Office to check your eligibility.

If you cannot be confirmed as lawfully present, the Office of Financial Aid will follow up with you for additional documentation.

This includes students who have been previously enrolled at Georgia State but are either returning (re-entry) to a degree program or applying for a new degree program. Transient students must also be verified, but Cross-Registration students are exempt.
What If I Do Not Provide Proof of Lawful Presence?
Admission will be withdrawn for any student who is unable to provide proof of lawful presence by at least one of the methods outlined above.
*You can upload and include with your application a copy of the documents listed above. Only those designated with an asterisk may be uploaded. Documents can also be submitted directly to The Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Students may submit these documents in person or via email at admissions@gsu.edu.
